Keeping your communication and payment on 99designs by Vista helps us protect you. Here are a few other ways that you're protected under our Terms of Use, refund policy, secure payment system in 1-to-1 Projects, Copyright Transfer Agreement, and other safeguards.
Completing payment or communicating outside 99designs makes it hard for us to assist you in fulfilling Copyright transfer, protecting your personal information, and puts you at risk of fraud, phishing or other security issues.
We understand that sometimes, it's easier to discuss more complex details over a video or phone call. For your protection, make sure you are documenting any important details, decisions, or changes that were discussed within the "Activity" tab of your project. This way, the 99designs support team has a record of the conversation in case they are brought in to assist at any point.
You should NEVER send or ask for payment to be made outside of the 99designs secure payment system (more info).
If you're looking for a way to continue working with your Contest designer, you can invite them to a project.
How to report suspicious messages
If someone is asking you to pay off-site or through another company, report it to us immediately. Contact payments@99designs.com to forward an email or link us to the message.
A few Internet safety reminders...
- Never share personal information like banking credentials, credit card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive data.
- Our staff will never ask for payments outside of our platform. All transactions should be completed within our secure system.
- Official 99d by Vista staff members have an orange “Staff” badge on their profiles. If someone contacts you claiming to be from our company without this badge, please use the Report button in your message to alert us quickly.
