How do I become certified for Logo and Brand Identity Pack Contests?

In order to participate in Logo & Brand Identity Pack contests, designers must have a Print certification.

What is Print certification?

A Print certification is a badge shown on a designer’s profile. It means the designer has demonstrated knowledge of preparing print-ready files and gives the designer access to Logo & Brand Identity Pack contests.

What are the requirements for the Print certification?

Designers must deliver a print-ready file with:

  • A creative design with well-executed design principles
  • Full bleeds
  • Layered PDF file
  • CMYK color mode
  • US or European business card dimensions
  • Fonts outlined
  • 300 PPI resolution for any raster images
  • Any template guidelines are hidden or removed
  • One page

Keep in mind:

In addition to creating technically correct, print-ready files, designers must deliver designs that are well-executed and tailored to the client’s brand. During the Brand Identity handover, designers should ask the client what their design preferences are before creating anything. Designs with overly generic layouts and poorly executed typography will lead to your Print certification application being declined.

How do I apply for a Print certification?

To earn a Print badge, applicants must take a short, multiple-choice quiz and create a print-ready, PDF file business card.

If the quiz answers are correct and your business card files meet our requirements, you will be certified.

What happens after I apply?

Once you have submitted your application, you can expect a response within a couple of weeks, depending on the volume of applications.

Designers will receive an email notifying them if their Print application has been accepted or declined.

What if my application is rejected?

We encourage you to review our print guide, correct any errors in your design, and apply again.
