Do I need to declare placeholder imagery?

Yes! As you might recall from our Stock Image & Clip Art Policy, ALL stock must be declared.

However, we receive a lot of questions regarding 'placeholder' images.

The answer is that yes, they should be declared. The reason for this is so that the client has a full understanding of the images used in their design.

Use of Stock Imagery and Clip Art in categories where allowed should be declared properly. This is so that the use of imagery is known to all designers and clients.

What do we mean by placeholder? A placeholder is a temporary stock image that will not be used in the final design but is used by the designer to show a client what the final product could look like.
