How do I report a copied or stock design?

The 99designs community is self-policing, which means we rely on you to alert us when members of the community violate our Designer Code of Conduct.

If you come across a design that you believe violates our Concept Originality Policy or Stock Image & Clip Art Policy, we encourage you to report it.

Before reporting a design, please review those policies, as well as this how-to on finding, using and declaring stock images.

How to report a design entry

There are two ways to report an entry for violating 99designs policies: by clicking the report button or through our Contact Us form.

Report with the report button

If the entry was submitted within a month and your account has been reviewed by the Designer Curation team (that is, you are not a recent signup), you will find the report button on the entry page. Otherwise, please refer to the email method below.

1.  Click the design that you want to report. This will bring you to an enlarged version of the design.

2.  Click 'Report design' to be taken to the dispute form, which will allow you to log the report/dispute for the violation.

Report through our Contact form

If you have just recently joined 99designs or the entry you would like to report is dated older than a month, please contact our support team via Email.

To send a report via email head to our contact page.

When reporting entries dated older than a month put, “Reporting past winning design” or “Reporting past non-winning design” in the subject line. In the body of your message include links that direct to the winning design and to the corresponding image. Please make sure the image has valid date information for us to review further.

If you have recently signed up, please make sure you read our report policy before you submit a request. If you are ready to report please put, “ Reporting a copied design” in the subject line of your email and in the body of your message include links that direct to the winning design and to the corresponding image. Please make sure the image has valid date information for us to review further.

We will reply via email to let you know that we have received the report, but will not provide further information regarding the designer or design.

If you are consistently found to be sending invalid reports via email or our report system your account will be subject to suspension.

What to do after you’ve made your report

During the review process, please refrain from contacting the client or our staff about the design you have reported. Our team will review the report as soon as possible, and you will receive a notification as soon as we have reviewed the report.
