Logo & website contest, how does it work?

99designs has recently introduced the Logo & website bundle. This allows clients to purchase both a logo design, as well as a custom Squarespace website simultaneously.

As part of the process, you will select your logo contest package (bronze, silver, gold or platinum), including the standard contest options and upgrades. Secondly, you will be prompted to select one of two Squarespace packages (Essential or Commerce).

What do I get?

Logo design

  • One logo design concept with up to four variations in total.
  • Two editable vector files (.ai, and .eps) for each variation.
  • Three digital raster files (.jpg, .png and .pdf) for each variation.

What is Squarespace?

Squarespace is a popular website builder and user-friendly hosting service for clients looking to create and maintain their own website. The platform offers both website templates, as well as options for more free-to-use custom design, including drag-and-drop elements. A Squarespace website is a great option for those wishing to edit and manage their own website, without the additions or cost of coding and development services, that are associated with building a custom website from scratch.

Recently, 99designs has partnered with Squarespace to provide personalised website building for clients. Through the platform, each client is matched with a Squarespace Expert who assists with the setup and design of the Squarespace site through a 1-to-1 Project

The launch process

Step 1

Select the logo & website package and click ‘Get started’.

Step 2

Complete the logo design brief.

Step 3

Select a logo package and one of the two Squarespace website packages (Essential or Commerce).

Step 4

Create a contest title and select your contest options and upgrades.

Step 5

Step 6

Once the payment is completed, you will be redirected to the ‘Your Work’ page, where you will select your logo contest. A greyed out space will be visible for the Squarespace website project.

Step 7

The logo design contest will run as normal. Once the contest has reached the Handover phase, a prompt will appear to start your Squarespace Project via the “Begin website brief” button. Please note: you can start your Squarespace project as soon as the Handover is created. You can also start your Squarespace project through the “Your work” tab at the top of the page once the winning design has been selected.

Step 8

After clicking “Begin website brief” or “Get started”, you will complete the Squarespace website brief.

Step 9

Next, you will get to choose one designer from a series of Squarespace Experts to work with.

Step 10

Once the brief is complete, and a designer has been selected, your 1-to-1 Project will be initiated, which will include a list of deliverables and the secured quote.

Step 11

When the Squarespace website is finalised, payment will be released to the designer and the project will be marked as complete!
